clay classes at Got Art Gallery

This coming April I’ll be teaching two kid’s clay classes. One class for a child with an adult to hand-build a wind chime and another class for a child to hand-build a Mother’s Day gift. See details below and visit Got Art Gallery for more information.

Wind Chimes Clay Date $55
Sunday April 10th (1-2:45 pm) enrollment includes 1 child plus 1 adult to create one wind chime.
Children can join us for a morning of messy fun with mom, dad or another special person. We will be designing and hand-building wind chimes. Patrons will select a glaze and items will be picked up ready to proudly display. Includes all supplies, glazing and kiln firing.

Jewelry Trays for Mom $25
Sunday April 24th (1-2:45pm) enrollment includes 1 child to create one jewelry tray.
In this class children will work to hand-build a one-of-a-kind clay jewelry tray that will then be glazed and kiln fired and be ready for pick up in time for Mother’s Day. Includes all supplies, glazing and kiln firing.

A selection of my ceramic sculptures will be part of the 2016 Spring Group Show at the Got Art Gallery on Third located in downtown Lee’s Summit, MO. The show opens March 25th and continues through April 16th with a reception on Friday from 5 to 8pm.
Come out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather, great company and lots and lots of art!

chocolate crawl for a cause

049

Chocolate Crawl for a cause this Saturday, February 6th in Lee’s Summit – bring winter items (hats, gloves, or scarves) to Got Art Gallery from 12pm until 4pm and get a Chocolate Crawl wristband which entitles you to exclusive event discounts. While at Got Art Gallery take advantage and purchase a long-lasting memento – one of my ceramic chocolate magnets – on sale during the Chocolate Crawl.

cheese & wine

Yes, those are little cheese wedges but they aren’t actually made out of cheese. These little cheeses are made out of fired ceramic. After sculpting, firing, and painting them I added magnets so now they’ll shine a bit of brightness on someone’s refrigerator. And, if given as a gift, I hope the matching “wine” motif box I made will enhance the pleasure in receiving this one-of-a-kind magnet set.
