Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy coffee?
So I made a bookends sculpture of coffee cups full of coffee beans with both cups sitting on piles of coffee beans (you have to imagine the wood bases which will be added later). Coffee, coffee, coffee and more coffee! This sculpture’s title will be, “Java, Sweet and Hot…a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup” from a song by the Ink Spots.

I Can Read Between the Lions…lines II

Another redo project…I just fell in love with my first bookends sculpture’s title: “I Can Read Between the Lions…lines” and so really wanted to redo that sculpture after losing it in a kiln mishap. I have lots to learn about using an electric kiln and I’m open to hearing recommendations on an easy to understand book.
This sculpture’s title will be, “I Can Read Between the Lions…lines II”.

horse bookends sculptureThis sculpture is a sorta redo. I lost the first, “Only the Strong Survive” in a kiln mishap but instead of simply redoing this sculpture I decided to make it into bookends so when I was all done I cut him in half. Later, after glazing and firing, I’ll mount him on wood bases.
This sculpture’s title is, “Only the Strong Survive…make a stand II” sung by Jerry Butler.
